Thoughts on Holocaust

The Holocaust was cruel and uncalled for. I think Hitler was crazy and didn’t know what he was talking about. Considering his mom was a Jew and him thinking blond hair and blue eyes are the superior race when he didn’t even have blond hair or blue eyes. The only thing that Hitler wanted was to try to take over the world and kill off the Jews. With the concentration camps and killing centers Hitler was doing a good job killing the Jews off and no one could do anything about it.

EOL Exam

The EOL exam wasn’t as hard as i thought it would be. I also took my time to read and think about what they were asking me. The passages that we had to read were not to complicated they were easy to understand and were over some interesting topics. The essays that we had to write were a little harder because we had to write two pages but the essay topics were easy to write about. With taking this test no one should be afraid of taking this test because it not at all what you think its going to be.

Cut book review

Cut, by Patricia McCormick, is a story that shows the life and mind of 15 year old Callie, who was consumed into a terrifying problem. Allowing herself to believe that she is the cause for her brother's sickness, she is under so much stress so she decides to take the pain away, by causing more pain, and a new habit is born. Just one cut to take her mind off everything else, at least that's what she though. Callie began to cut her wrists everyday, several times a day, until the school nurse noticed what was going on and knew she had to inform Callie's parents. With this, her parents knew she needed help so they sent her to a pschyiatric hospital, where she must go to therapy and be around other girls who are trying to overcome the same kind of issues. First, she refuses to talk to anyone, but soon opens up when she has flash backs of the past. If you are anything like me, Cut with send chills down your spine, but is also heart warming when she gets her life together.

Crackback book review

John Coy, author of Crackback, creates a character that may not by good at too many things, but is great at football. Miles Manning, starting corner for his high school football team, strives to be the best player he can be. With the team expected to win conference this year, Miles is under some extra pressure. Over the summer it seems as if all the other players have really bulked and are much bigger than him, he is getting a little insecure about his place on the team. With his dad, coaches, and even his best friend putting so much stress on him, he just doesn't know what to do. Miles does not want to disappoint his dad, but it seems as if every little mistake, his dad won't leave him alone, and Zach, his best friend, is offering him steroids. Zach claims that everyone is doing them and they will help Miles get bigger faster, but Miles is uneasy about the situation. Crackback is a great football book, and I'm sure that this kind of thing is going on all the time.

Materialistic

A materialist is someone who is more concerned with material things instead of spiritual, intellectual, or cultural values. With today's society, people are being sucked into a world pressured by having the "in" look. All over the media, glamorous things are being advertised, catching the attentions of mostly teens, almost brainwashing them into thinking they must have it. From celebrities in the hottest magazines such as "People" and "US Weekly" to our local public schools, the issue is being pushed to have the best new look.
Years ago, parents worked and most kids did too, just making a living for the family. Kids got by with as little as possible. Now today, parents work over time just to make sure their spoiled brats get the new BMW or Gucci's new spring collection. The idea of humbling yourself has gone down the drain, everyone is too worried about fitting in and looking irresistable.
Everyone has changed their values to what they see models on TV sporting. Even those few people out there who still hold their cultural values are really struggling, you are now considered an outcast if you don't let your guard down and fall into the abyss lined with high fashion and no morals.

My Junior Year of High School

My junior year has been ok so far but it is just the middle of the school year. There still is a long road ahead of me but I am ready for it and any task that comes along with it. I am in regular classes so its not that hard I could probably push myself a little harder and do a little better but just do not have the time. Well I got good grades I could have all A’s but I do not study enough to have those kind of grades.
However, other than that, I have had a great junior year and I have had lots of fun I have to say this has been one of the finest years that I have had. Most of the other years of school were just plain and boring. Also did not even want to show up for school but this year is different I like coming to school. That’s about all I have to say about my junior year of school.

The Crucible Charter

The book the crucible there is a charter, her name is Abigail Williams, and she is a bad evil twisted little girl. In this book Abigail is falsely accusing people of witchcraft and the people of the town are believing her even the well-respected people of the town are being accused. Therefore, the town calls in reverend Hale and he is trying to get something straightened out but it is not working very well. Because the judge is not going, for what the reverend has to say.
Reasons for this is that Abigail is bullying the girls to go along with whatever she does and they act like people of the town is sending the devil after them. Just because Abigail does not like them or she just cannot get what she wants. Then the town starts accusing people so they can get what they want like land and belongings that’s being passed down from other siblings. Although Abigail is the person, who started it and did not stop until she thought she was going to get what she had wanted at the beginning.
